From working class to luxury neighborhood.
What was originally designed to house the working class of the city, was soon labeled as one of the most desirable neighborhoods for the upper class of Medellin. With a Parisian inspiration were created its spiral transversals which run around the Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana.
La 70th and Jardin.
Laureles is made up of two parks joined by Avenida JardÃn, where hotels, bars and luxury restaurants have found a space to promote commerce and tourism. Calle 70 was not left behind, also hosting a vast number of commercial sites, where street food and local flavors stand out.
Sports and mobility as a quality of life.
One of the main characteristics of this neighborhood is its flat geography which naturally encourages sports and alternative mobility. Apart from this it has several sports complexes including Parques del Rio, the mega project that rescued the space for the people and the local stadium, El Atanasio Girardot.
