The Arví Park is located in the northeast of Medellín, 30 kilometers from downtown, in the town of Santa Elena and the municipality of Guarne. There are many ways to get there, however, the one we recommend the most and we feel it is part of the experience, is through the Arví Tourist Cable of the Medellín Metro:
Metro / MetrocableYou must get to the Acevedo station, then take Metrocable Line K to Santo Domingo, where you must transfer to Line L of the Arví cable, which is exclusively for the Park. This last route will take you about 20 minutes. Here you can check the Metro and Metrocable fares.
Private transportation: Use applications such as Waze or Google Maps. From Medellín it can take about 45 minutes by car.
Arví Park rates and schedules
There is no entrance fee to Arví Park, however, if you choose any of the activities offered, you must pay the corresponding fee. Children under 1.20 meters tall do not pay anything.
Things to do in Arví Park
Arví Park has thought of all the possibilities, so it has created activities ranging from the romanticism of a picnic in the middle of a large green lung, decorated and set to music, to team activities that require assertive communication and leadership.
There are activities designed for one hour and others for four, relaxing activities and others of physical effort, so let yourself be surprised and choose the ones that most appeal to you.
Hiking in Arví Park
As we mentioned at the beginning, the entrance to the park has no cost and you can enjoy on your own any of the 13 trails available to walk them, however, we always recommend that you sign up for the scheduled and guided tours, as you can learn much more and get to know the place from the hand of an expert.
Tours in Arví Park
Every day the park is open there will be scheduled tours from 10:00 am to 4:30 pm. These vary in duration, level of difficulty and theme. We suggest that as soon as you arrive you go to the ticket office to find out which tours are scheduled for that day and choose the one you like best.
The tours have an approximate cost of 6.50 USD ($25.000) for foreigners, 2.60 USD ($10.000) for nationals and 1.60 USD ($6.000) for people from the Metropolitan Area of the Aburrá Valley (sub-region of Antioquia made up of ten municipalities, with Medellín in the center). This cost only includes the guide's accompaniment throughout the tour.
